This degree can lead to a baccalaureate degree in environmental science or environmental studies at accredited colleges or universities. In consultation with an academic advisor; electives should be selected based on the student’s interest, the requirements of the transfer institution or technician-level vocation opportunities. - Demonstrate appropriate selection and safe operation of laboratory and field equipment as applicable to environmental sciences;
- Apply the scientific method to investigate environmental issues, draw conclusions, and communicate findings;
- Analyze appropriate environmental publications and identify research-based and ethical issues;
- Discuss natural science concepts using appropriate terminology, both orally and in writing.
