This certificate is a collaborative effort between the New Jersey departments of Human Services (DHS) and Children and Families (DCF), the New Jersey Community College Consortium for Workforce and Economic Development (NJCCCWED) and New Jersey community colleges for a career ladder certificate program. It is designed exclusively for DHS and DCF clerical and support staff who have completed the career ladders program and wish to obtain a college certificate and/or pursue a degree in human services.
The certificate program includes 18 credit hours of Atlantic Cape general education and program courses and 12 credit hours for one of three previously earned Career Ladders certifications in the child protective services field, the mental health field or the disability services field.
