How to Apply
International students wishing to study on an F-1 visa must follow these steps for admission:
- Complete the Application for Admission online.
- Submit the following documents:
- Understanding My Responsibilities as an International Student in F1 Status form
- $6,000 tuition deposit (by U.S. check, money order, or cash)
- A copy of the biographical data page of your valid passport
- Original bank statements (no older than 30 days) showing proof of funding of minimum of $20,000
- Supplemental Form for International Students
- Confidential Financial Statement
- Sponsorship Agreement Form
- Sponsor's Affidavit of Free Room & Board
- Copy of current visa and I-94 (if you are currently in the U.S.)
- If you are transferring from another U.S. institution, include the Request for F-1 Transfer Information Form and a copy of your current Form I-20

Important Information for International Students:
- F-1 Visa Requirement: You must receive approval for your F-1 status from the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service before registering for classes.
- Enrollment Requirements: International students must maintain a minimum enrollment of 12 credits per semester and take in-person courses, with the exception of one online/hybrid course to meet the credit requirement.
- Tuition: International students are charged the out-of-country tuition rate for the first 24 credits and in-county rates for the remainder of the degree program. View cost of tuition here: atlanticcape.edu/one-stop/costs-payments.php
- English Proficiency: If you are from a non-English-speaking country, you are required to take the ESL Oxford Exam to assess your English proficiency.
- Transcript Evaluation: Transcripts from foreign colleges or secondary schools must be translated to English and formally evaluated by an agency approved by the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services (NACES). Visit http://www.naces.org/members for a list of approved agencies. Once the evaluation is complete, submit the official evaluation report to the Enrollment Services Office for course transfer determination.

- International students must adhere to all federal regulations set by the U.S. government regarding F-1 status.
