This course provides an introduction to the fundamental systems of outboard engines, including their design, operation, and maintenance. It covers boating basics, outboard electrical systems, ignition systems, fuel systems, powerheads, and propulsion mechanisms. Students will develop the knowledge to identify and work with key components, and identify common tools.
Prerequisites
ENGL070 with a grade of C or better or placement into ENGL080 or ENGL101 (ESLN092 and ESLN100 may be taken concurrently).
