This certificate program offers Yamaha factory-authorized training, equipping students with essential skills in the service and maintenance of outboard motor systems. This comprehensive program focuses on developing hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge, preparing graduates for immediate employment in the maritime industry.
Students will learn key topics such as the fundamental functions of outboard systems, safe work practices, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance procedures for various engine types, including portable, midrange, inline, and V-engine outboards.

Upon completion of this program students will be able to:
- Safely operate and maintain various types of outboard engines, demonstrating compliance with industry safety standards and best practices;
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in outboard motor systems, effectively utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and resolve problems;
- Perform routine maintenance procedures on outboard engines, including oil changes, fuel system servicing, and electrical system checks, ensuring optimal engine performance and longevity;
- Demonstrate essential workplace skills, such as effective communication, teamwork, and customer service, while exhibiting a commitment to professional ethics and continuous learning in the marine industry.
